Moderate/Difficult – pavements, minor road, farm track and wrack roads, livestock (bull pens), rough gravel and sandy shore. Three short Tidal Stretches. Along the route you will see Ailsa Craig, FMC Bio-Polymers - the "Seaweed Factory", Grant's Whisky distillery, Coastal agriculture, Turnberry Hotel and Open Championship golf course.

Local bus service from Ayr/Stranraer to Girvan.
Local bus service connects Girvan and Maidens. 17 mins journey.
Service every 1-2hrs. 

Train
There are trains to Girvan from Ayr and Stranraer. Girvan train station is approx 10 mins walk from the bus stops for onwards travel to Maidens.
