On 23 October a small team of Jimmy, David Mc and Charlie continued the work at Drumbain, erecting a new way marker near the shore, and strimming the Wet Gully. It is a fair walk from parking the car to the work site, down a slippery path, with equipment on our backs. However the rewards when you get there are worth it, passing the waterfall on the way to the Gully, and stunning views of Arran. We met a lovely group of walkers from Glasgow, Jean, Angela, Peter and Angus who were walking part of the ACP as part of a circular walk including the Carrick Hills. Jimmy returned to the car, doing another job on the way. Such was David and Charlie's enthusiasm to complete the strimming, they left it a little late and were unable to get round a rocky outcrop as the tide had come in. The intrepid duo found another way back up a steep slope. Note to all walkers: check the tide times!!
