The initial roll-out of the blue bins took place this week at Balkenna and Turnberry. These are being installed at strategic points on the path to encourage walkers to remove plastic litter from the beaches for recycling. ACP Path Wardens will be resposible for the occassional removal of filled bags. Please note: PLASTIC WASTE ONLY. Thanks to Neil Henderson of GSK for kindly supplying the bins.
Today also saw completion of the clean up of the Dowhill and Dipple beaches. Many people contributed to this but thanks are due mainly to Chris and Di who were ever uncomplainingly present. These beaches are currently spotless. Let’s hope they stay that way!
